On Sunday, 2nd March students, parents and teachers of Alexander school attended the Armenian Church of Holy Resurrection to receive blessings and Holy Communion for the start of the new school year.
During the sermon, Senior Father Norayr Patanian reflected on the importance of the ‘Battle of Vartanank’ and its significance to the survival of Armenians as Christians. Like the heroes of ‘Vartananst’, the students then moved forward to take part in the confession and received Holy Communion.
Once again the students displayed exemplary behaviour both during and after the church service. They took part with the congregation by praying, singing the hymns and by following the Divine Liturgy.
Thank you to the parents for your assistance and cooperation.
