On Wednesday, 20th February the students of Alexander and Sydney Japanese school joined to watch a special performance called ‘The World Needs Music’. The show took us on a journey into musical styles from across the globe in a multi instrumental interactive performance. Playing the 21 stringed African harp (kora), guitar as well as West African xylophone it explored the rich and culturally diverse musical traditions of West Africa, Latin America, South India and the Middle East.
